Near North Side
This area is very convenient for school studies, but it will run you a bit more money. You will also have trouble finding parking in this area. A lot of popular restaurants, night clubs, and comedy clubs are located in this area so you can expect it to be crowded during certain times of the week. There are lots of historic buildings for you to take in as well as lots of art galleries and designer clothing stores.
Rogers Park
This is about far north as you can go. It is located right along the lake. In this area, you will find some safe neighborhoods and some not so safe neighborhoods. A lot of students live here because it is close to Loyola University and the rent in this area is fairly cheap.
